DR MARK SIM - FAMILY PHYSICIAN

Dr Mark Sim graduated from National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) in 2009.

He went on to complete a comprehensive 3 year Family Medicine Residency Program with Singhealth and has experience in various specialities ranging from Paediatrics, Children's Emergency, General Surgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, O&G, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Geriatrics, Sports Medicine and completed his Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine in 2015. His other post graduate qualifications include Graduate Diploma in Family Practice Dermatology and Diploma in Sports Medicine by the International Olympic Committee.

He is also an adjunct tutor at the LKC School of Medicine at NTU.

 

He strongly believes in physical activity as a vital role in chronic disease prevention. His special interests include sports medicine, weight management and paediatrics.

 

Outside of work, he is a lifelong Manchester United fan and enjoys HIIT workouts, reading, spending quality time with his 2 children.

DR TAN WEE CHUAN - FAMILY PHYSICIAN

MBBS (Singapore), MMed (Family Medicine)

Dr Tan graduated from National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) in 2009. He completed his Masters degree in Family Medicine in 2015. 

Prior to joining Island Family Clinic, he has worked in various departments in restructured hospitals including Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Geriatrics, General Surgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, Paediatrics, Children's Emergency, O&G and Dermatology. He practised in public primary care sector as a family physician managing patients of various age groups with both acute and chronic conditions.

Dr Tan believes in holistic care and continuity of care for the whole family. His area of interest includes chronic disease management, paediatrics, women's health and dermatology.

DR LIM JIA YANG- FAMILY PHYSICIAN, PRIMARY EYE CARE PHYSICIAN
MBBS(Singapore), DRCOphth(UK), MRCOphth(UK), GDFM(Singapore)

Dr Lim graduated in 2009 from NUS School of Medicine and has spent many years practising in various departments in the Hospitals including Opthalmology, General Surgery, Internal Medicine and Orthopaedic.

Subsequently, he has obtain a Diploma in Ophthlamology (UK) and elected as a Member of Royal College of Ophthalmologist United Kingdom in year 2014. He then completed his training as a Family Physician in 2015 and obtained the Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine.

He is experienced in managing paediatric, adult and especially eye problems. He has been practising at Singapore National Eye Centre since 2012 as a Primary Eye Care Physician and is still currently working there.

DR GOH POH SIN - GENERAL PRACTITIONER, INTERNIST
MBBS (Malaysia), MMed Int Med (Singapore), MRCP(UK)

Dr. Goh is a resident physician practising at Island Family Clinic (Fernvale). He obtained his first medical degree at National University of Malaysia in 2009. He went on to pursue his post-graduate training in Internal Medicine field in various restructured hospital in Singapore. Subsequently, he was conferred Master of Medicine in Internal Medicine and elected as Member of Royal College of Physician United Kingdom in year 2013 concurrently. During his post-graduate training, he was rotated through various specialties in the restructured hospitals.

He is experienced in managing paediatric, adult and geriatric patient. He has special interest in Asthma, Dermatology, Women & Child's Health.

DR MELVIN GOH - GENERAL PRACTITIONER, PRIMARY EYE CARE PHYSICIAN
MBBS(Singapore)

Dr Melvin Goh graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) in 2010. Prior to joining Island Family Clinic, he has had experience working in departments of General Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Accident and Emergency (A&E) and Ophthalmology. In particular, he brings with him a wealth of experience in eye services, having served at the National University Hospital (NUH) Department of Ophthalmology for several years to hone his clinical and microsurgical skills. As part of his training in NUH, he had completed over 200 supervised cataract surgeries.

Dr Goh has a deep passion for community and primary eye care services, and aims to bring quality eye care to all his patients.

DR CALVIN GAN - FAMILY PHYSICIAN

Dr Calvin Gan graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) in 2002.

Prior to joining Island Family Clinic, he has had experience working in departments of Respiratory Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Orthopedics and Accident and Emergency (A&E).

He attained his Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine in 2008. He has been accepted into the Register of Family Physicians and is a member of the College of Family Physicians Singapore.

Dr Gan has 2 children of his own and enjoys interacting with his young and young-at-heart patients.

DR PAUL-JON GOH – GENERAL PRACTITIONER

MBBS (Melbourne), BMedSci (Melbourne)

Dr Paul graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). During his studies, he undertook a year of clinical and laboratory research in Diabetes and Cardiovascular disease and obtained a Bachelor of Biomedical Science.

 

Dr Paul has worked in Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore General Hospital and National University Hospital. He has experience in various specialities including A&E, Rheumatology Immunology & Allergy, Geriatrics, Palliative medicine and Paediatrics. Prior to joining Island Family Clinic, Dr Paul was working at Ang Mo Kio polyclinic.

 

Aside from work at Island Family Clinic, Dr Paul works in nursing homes to look after the elderly with chronic conditions and disabilities. In his spare time, he enjoys outdoor activities like tennis and running, and believes that leading a healthy lifestyle and exercise are key to maintain overall wellness and prevent diseases. He is passionate about providing quality and long-term care for the whole family.

DR DARYL GOEI – FAMILY PHYSICIAN, PRIMARY EYE CARE PHYSICIAN

MBBS (Singapore), GDFM (Singapore)

Dr Goei graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2011.

Since graduating, he has worked in various departments in the restructured hospitals including Ophthlamology, Dermatology, Geriatrics, O&G, Orthopaedic Surgery and General Medicine. He subsequently obtained the Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine (GDFM) in 2015.

 

Apart from working at Island Family Clinic (Bukit Batok), Dr Goei also works at Singapore National Eye Centre as a Primary Eye Care physician, where he sees patients with diabetic retinopathy, cataracts and other common eye conditions.

 

He believes in personalised and holistic medicine, and that the care of every patient should be tailored to their individual needs.
